A charming, whitewashed 19th century building, The School House Inn of Low Marishes, Malton offers exceptional food, drink and hospitality in a beautiful, secluded setting amidst outstanding scenery. Although we have internet access, a games room, conservatory and a modern kitchen producing a tantalising range of dishes from around the world, ours is a traditional village public house, with stone flag floors, crackling logs in the fireplaces, an old fashioned welcome and tons of character.

Once a drinking house, The School House Inn is very much a part of the local community as well as serving visitors to the area throughout the year.

A bright conservatory, lush, green beer garden, welcoming bar with soft sofas and a comfy restaurant offer the chance to sit and enjoy a great meal or just a drink. Guest ales, a good selection of lagers, cider, wines, spirits and soft drinks are available as well as hearty Soup and warm rolls, Scottish Salmon, Fillet Steak, Lemon Chicken, Fresh Plaice, Pasta and much, much more.

Food is served throughout the restaurant and bar and guests can choose from the selection on the menu or from our specials board. Our menu offers a select choice of traditional British and world dishes and our kitchen team take the finestl ingredients to create them.  Many of our drinks have a local flavour, coming as they do from Malton’s famous Suddaby’s Brewery.

We have ample car parking for customers, a bar front created from a gnarled tree trunk, with pool and darts, three online computers, superb Sunday roasts, a conservatory and patio, welcome dogs and children and are easily reached from all major routes.
